Short version: we collect what we need to make your stuff and host your night, we don't run ads or trackers, and we never sell your information. Here's the whole picture in plain English.

What we collect, and why

Photos at After Hours

Part of the After Hours experience is that we photograph the night — candid shots of the room and the people in it. Those photos go into a password-protected gallery the next morning; the password is only shared with the guests who were there. If you'd rather not be photographed, tell us at the door. If a photo of you is in a gallery and you want it taken down, email us and it's gone.

What we don't do

Cookies & storage

Our site doesn't set tracking cookies. It stores exactly two things on your own device. The first is a small flag remembering that you confirmed you're 21+, so we don't ask you every visit — that one never leaves your browser. The second only exists while you're booking a night: a random reference for your seat selection, so that if you step away from checkout and come back, the site knows those seats are still yours instead of telling you someone else took them. It's sent to us with your booking, it isn't tied to you as a person, and it disappears when you close the tab.

Who touches your data

The services that make the site work: Square (payments & orders), Netlify (website hosting & the order forms), Pic-Time (photo galleries), Google Workspace (our email), and Google Fonts, which serves the typefaces on every page and therefore sees your IP address when the page loads. Each handles data under its own privacy policy, and none of them get more than they need to do their job.

Two things worth naming. If you join the waitlist for a sold-out night, we store your email as a customer record in Square so we can tell you when seats open. That record stays after we've emailed you. It is not a marketing list and we don't send campaigns to it — ask us and we'll delete it.

Separately, if you sign up for our mailing list, that's the one list we do send to — new goods, After Hours nights opening, the occasional session slot, a few times a month at most. You'll get a welcome email straight away with a one-line way out, and every message after that carries an unsubscribe. Reply "stop" any time and you're off for good.

Do Not Track

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal. We don't track you across websites at all, so there's nothing for it to switch off — but we honor it regardless, and we'd behave the same way without it.

Accessibility

We want this site usable by everyone, including with a keyboard, a screen reader, or magnification. If something here gets in your way, email hello@thatgroovyspot.com or call (951) 392-5572 and we'll fix it and help you get what you needed in the meantime.

Your choices

Want to see what we have about you, correct it, or have it deleted? Email hello@thatgroovyspot.com or call (951) 392-5572 and we'll take care of it. Same address for any question this page didn't answer.

Changes

If we ever add tools that change this picture (like analytics), we'll update this page and the date at the top before they go live.
